We are excited to be planning the 10th annual Montana Institute on Educational Technology for 2013! Over the past nine years, we are proud to have welcomed teachers, librarians and technologists from
147 Montana cities and towns! This event continues to grow in registration and expand in its offerings each year with hands-on workshops on the most current classroom technologies, best practices, equipment and the newest software applications. We have over 70 classes planned for this year, many
of them new including Windows 8, Office 2013 and Computer Basics. Then, in lieu of a keynote, there will be a panel of five experts participating in a Technology SMACKDOWN on Tuesday, 6/18; Two more new things - First, we will be offering some courses on basic computer skills for those that have had trouble in the more "techie" classes; and second, there will be some special pre-conference classes on Monday, June 17. And, let's not forget the Vendor Fair and Reception on Tuesday, 6/18. The Fair will be from 9:30am - 4pm followed by the Reception from 4 - 5:30pm with LIVE music, hors d'euvres, no-host beer and wine, and prizes!

Cost - $200/4-day institute (Tues - Fri) plus $25 for lunches, if desired OR $65/day for 3 or fewer days, plus $7/day for lunch, if desired.
The Monday, Pre-conference fees are $50/half-day or $80/full-day plus $7 for lunch if desired. There will be a lunch option for you to select when you register. The fee for lunches is due with the registration fee.
The fee for EARLY BIRDS is $175/week (Tues - Fri) or $50/day for registrations received before May 17! (Early Bird discount does not apply to Tech Track or pre-conference courses) If desired, you may select the lunch option for $25 more for the four days.
Note: The Institute registration fees DO NOT include the tuition for the two (2) graduate credits which is to be paid separately to MSU - Northern as outlined below. [ Details ]

Tech Track, Monday and Tuesday, June 17 & 18 is $65 (for both days). [ Details ] Fee does not count for MIET general sessions or pre-conference courses - additional week/day/course rates will apply. For the Tech Track we once again welcome META, Montana Educational Technologist Association. Made up of K-12 technology directors and ed tech professionals from across the state, META provides collaboration, support and training opportunities for all K-12 technology professionals to take back to their districts. The Tech Track sessions will not eligible for the grad credits or OPI renewal units.
OPI Renewal Units and Graduate Credits [ Details ] - As always, the courses you attend during MIET will be eligible for either OPI Renewal Units, (one hour of class time = one renewal unit) or two (2) graduate credits through MSU - Northern - with a minimum of 24 hours of face-to-face classtime during the conference, plus six additional hours online. Tech Track sessions will not be eligible for renewal units or grad credits.
The Vendor Fair and Reception, Tuesday, 6/18 from 9:30am - 4pm, Reception, 4 - 5:30pm [ Details ]
This year's vendor fair will be on Tuesday, June 18 beginning at 9:30am in our beautiful atrium with Coffee with the Vendors following the Technology SMACKDOWN and ending with the Vendor Reception in from 4 - 5:30pm. There will be fun giveaways and prizes during lunch and at the reception where there will be no-host beer and wine, hors d'euvres and LIVE music with Pete's Little Big Band!
